Ár dTeanga Féin is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian educational organization, staffed by volunteers. Since 1986 we have offered many low-cost Irish language classes in numerous central New England locations. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds. Please join us for classes!

Beginner – A course for those who have little or no knowledge of Irish. Emphasis is on basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure which is used in simple conversation. This course includes learning songs, poems, readings and games.
Advanced Beginner – A course for those with a beginning level of Irish. Students learn more vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar, and continue to develop conversation skills. This course includes songs and poems, and uses a range of active learning activities.
Intermediate – A course for those with some previous knowledge of Irish, who are already comfortable with the basics and are ready to move on. Intermediate will build upon previous knowledge, expanding vocabulary and fluency using a variety of written materials including textbooks, poems, and magazine and newspaper articles. This course further develops conversation and discussion skills.
Advanced – A course for those who have studied Irish for two or more years and are very comfortable with basic conversation and sentence structure. Advanced will help round out the student’s knowledge of Irish and further strengthen previous knowledge.
It’s important to register as early as possible to avoid class cancellation due to under enrollment.
